Since 1997, the Lance Armstrong Foundation has been working to improve the lives of people affected by cancer. The foundation started as a small group trying to raise money to fight this disease. As cancer has quietly become the world’s leading cause of death the foundation’s work has expanded and now reaches every corner of the globe.
The foundation looks at the experiences of the cancer community, find problems and develop solutions. Then they roll them out to help more people in more situations. It creates a relevant, vibrant cancer movement based on evidence and by investing in strategic solutions. The foundation’s actions find new ways to raise awareness, increase outreach and facilitate collaboration in an effort to improve the cancer experience.
