Tuesday Night Twilights survives and there are 2 more races left for 2009. Be sure to come out and enjoy the event if you are in the area. Be sure to thank the event organizers for their tireless work to keep this event going.

Here is a special request from event organizers to help secure this event for the future.

ATTENTION Racers and supporters of the Tuesday Night Twilights! We need your help on August 11th, 4pm at City Hall Council Chambers, 100 Santa Rosa Ave.

Show up with a racing jersey or have your bike helmet so that the Council knows what you love - the bike, the race, the sport!!

The TNT race committee is presenting to the City Council a short 5-10 minute presentation on the TNT. The purpose of the meeting is to:

1. Thank the city for allowing us the use permit to use the Corp Center for the last 23 years and establish a true cycling tradition in Santa Rosa. We'd like to let them know how important this event is for all of us and that we are not willing to let it die because there are few folks who'd rather the races not continue.

2. Inform them that we are moving on to a new location starting next week! The 18th, to finish up the racing season and try out a new course at the Fairgrounds

3. Let them know that while the races may be moved to a new location, occasional permits for the old course may be sought after for weekend races or Tuesday nights during the Fair.

If you are available to simply show up and make your presence known and support the TNT's as a member of the audience, please do so and spread the word. It is critical the city officials know how many of us care and love this event.
